About Lake Tarnobrzeskie

Lake Tarnobrzeskie is one of the largest and most beautiful recreational lakes in southern Poland. With a water surface area of 455 hectares, nearly 11 kilometers of shoreline, and approximately 2 kilometers of beach, it offers the perfect setting for relaxation, sports, and leisure by the water.

It is also one of the most unique reservoirs in Poland in terms of both history and ecology. The lake was created on the site of a former sulfur mine excavation area, which before revitalization covered 560 hectares and reached a depth of 110 meters. Today, the lake is often referred to as an “ecological miracle,” mainly thanks to its exceptionally clean water, the quality of which is maintained through the annual exchange of approximately 5 million m³ of water.

Lake Tarnobrzeskie is the second-largest body of water in the Podkarpackie region and the fourth-deepest artificial reservoir in Poland. It is an excellent destination for lovers of active recreation and water sports. Visitors can enjoy:

• sailing,
• windsurfing and kitesurfing,
• wakeboarding,
• diving to depths of up to 42 meters,
• kayaking, pedal boats, and SUP boards.

The lake area offers water equipment rentals, a diving center, two wakeboarding lifts, as well as numerous restaurants and recreational zones. One of the biggest attractions is also the longest zipline in Poland, stretching 500 meters and partially running above the water.

The entire lake area is covered by a quiet zone, making Lake Tarnobrzeskie a peaceful destination with a unique atmosphere close to nature.
